Big City Orchestra is a long running art/anti-art group based generally in California/USA. They have an ever rotating cast of musician and nonmusician members. They were formed in 1979 as the house band for a network of artist residences in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. Categorizing the Orchestra into any given genre can be a task, as releases continue to surprise even the most devout listener. There is never any way to precisely classify the next BCO release. An album of authentic shanties? A wall of noise? A shimmering downpour of lullabies whispered to the wind? A humorous or thought-provoking album of Sound Collages? Vocal excursions set to make Rod McKuen blush? We press play, leaning forward with slight apprehension. We await the first wave of blissful deception. We are perpetually rewarded. BCO sailed through the cassette culture movement of the 1980s and 1990s with about 130 hour-long releases on over 100 labels. Other work has included four video collections, five 7" singles, one 8" single, one 10" single, 10+ compact discs, well over 40 CD-Rs, and more than 300 compilation appearances

HATI is an audiovisual project based on sound of ethnic instruments from all over the world and hand-made instruments or find objects. HATI connects a personal interest in modern improvised and acoustic music with ritual and meditation. The band was founded in 2001 by Rafal Iwanski and Dariusz Wojtas. They formed many psychedelic rock and industrial experimental musical projects since the beginning of the 90'. They performed 2 tours with Z'EV, one of the founders of ‘industrial' - the cultural movement. All HATI albums received very good reviews, their unusual magic sound and power was emphasized. Nowadays HATI performs as a duo: Rafal X-NAVI Iwanski and Rafal SABON Kolacki. They are also the organizers of CoCArt Music Festival (cooperation with Centre of Contemporary Art in Torun).

Rinus Van Alebeek is an electronic musician and performer born in Holland in 1956. He comes to music relatively late, having published two books in his home country under the pseudonym of Philip Markus, the first of which, published in 1991 in the Netherlands received the prize for best first novel.

His approach to musical improvisation is radical, and often based on sounds captured on their many trips through the U.S., Europe and the Maghreb countries. Rinus Van Alebeek using simple sound capturing systems like microphones connected to old Walkmans and dictaphones. During its concerts he mixes and processes many of its tapes with the help of a mixer and an effects pedal, creating powerful lo-fi sound collages between noise and pure poetry.
