Instrumentarium: Manipulated field recordings & digital synthesis This present work consists from audio material taken from ©¯Hades©? and
©¯Penumbra©?, two works from recent collaborations with sound artists Marc Behrens and jgrzinich. The two projects, soon to be published in CD, share the fact that are based in very particular locations: ©¯Penumbra©? departs from recordings taken in the small vilage of mooste, Estonia, using forsaken soviet gas deposits as resonance chambers for stretched wires, exploring the particular weather conditions of the geography, While ©¯Hades©? results from a series of recordings began in 2001 of the tejo (Tagus) river crossing in Lisbon. Both works explore the idiosyncratic nature and identity of ?place' through a detailed sense of composition where real and imaginary, raw material and poetry converge subtly. Paulo Raposo is a composer, artist and publisher (Sirr records) based in Lisbon, Portugal. After studies of philosophy and cinema, he has been working in the medium of live electronic and computer sound, performing, recording and exhibiting works in France, Germany, UK, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Baltic states and United States. His work explores the inter-relationships and displacements between digital process and architectural spaces, using computer and custom-built software to create abstract and delicate soundscapes. http://www.sirr-ecords.com

Unstrukturierter Grind-Speedcore trifft auf übersteuert-verzerrten Harshnoize der übelsten Sorte und verursacht bei ungeübten Konsumenten ohne Umschweife Ohrenbluten. Brachiale Noisebretter, wahnwitzige popsamples, weiß rauschende Flächen die den Wahnsinn aus dem Film »Pi« als Kinderjause erscheinen lassen, die sich aber in den Flächen rhythmisieren und wahlweise nach irren Grindcore Getrommel oder Gabbabeats klingen. Hochgeschwindigkeits Lärm- Attacken zum Hirndurchlüften und Gesellschaft sprengen. darüber packende Flächen aus pulsierendem Noise und scherzende Sinustöne.
