German Siegmar Fricke’s solo project Pharmakustik, delivers four clinical abstract pieces and is the latest stage in his voyage in audio experimentation that began in 1981, using tape-recorders and shortwave-radio signals to create collages of musique-concrète. Pharmakustik merges the analogue and digital realms within a medical context, resulting in some serious sounds.
