Prefazione:
Siamo circondati dal silenzio, e il fascino di tale silenzio è quanto di più impalpabile esista. Solo se ci sono dei movimenti vibratori provenienti da una sorgente sonora, il nostro cervello è in grado di percepirne l'altezza, l'intensità e il timbro e decodificarli per trasformarli in suoni. Se non avessimo tale senso della percezione, esisterebbe solo il silenzio assoluto... I suoni udibili sono prodotti da oscillazioni con frequenze comprese mediamente tra i 20 Hz e i 20 kHz; al di sopra dei 20 kHz si estende il campo degli ultrasuoni mentre i suoni con frequenze inferiori a 20 Hz sono detti infrasuoni, e quindi sia gli ultrasuoni che gli infrasuoni, non essendo udibili all'orecchio umano che funge da rilevatore, sono paragonabili al silenzio. E quando il silenzio si tramuta in "muitnelis", la retta che congiunge la ricezione cerebrale alla sorgente sonora si interrompe...

We are sorrounded by the silence, and the fascination of such silence is as much impalpable existing. Just if there are vibrator movements coming from a sonorous source, our brain is able to perceive its pitch, its intensity and its timbre decoding them to transform in sounds. If we can't get such sensibility of perception, only the absolute silence exists... The audible sounds are produced by oscillations with frequencies between on an average of 20 Hz and 20 kHz; beyond of 20 kHz is extending the ultrasounds field, while the sounds with frequencies below the 20 Hz are called infrasonic waves, and therefore either the ultrasounds or the infrasonic waves, not audibles to human ear which acts as tracer, are compared to the silence. And when the silence is tranformed in "muitnelis", the straight line which is connecting the cerebral reception to the sonorous source breaks off...
