The paralyzing, dark mood will take the listener deep down and 26 minutes will seem to be 260. 'Governor' will be followed by the full Album release 'PLAN B' later on in 2002.

VIROLOGIC Bugged MCD LOKI 7,99 EUR After several years of defining and re-structuring this concept Predominance is back with his new side project: ?The main intention of Virologic is the creation of sounds out of computer data. Different types of computer files have been cracked in a sampling software that transforms any kind of files into raw sound. It is possible to analyse the different structures of any type of data as a potential source visible as graphic waveform. Here the process of manipulation begins and includes the cutting, pitching, filtering, time-stretching, equalizing or whatever to transform the original sounds with the addition of a lot of multi-effects into loops. These so especially designed sound loops were edited in another multi-track recording software and some further global effects were mixed into the tracks. With an implicit aesthetics of failure the structure of the original file is destroyed to its core and reflecting the meta-phorical bug on its way through the hard drive.? The result is a well structured composition made out of pulsating rhythms, multi-layered sounds and quartered sonics.

This 'invocation/evocation' 14 tracks album of several female figures, from mythology, drowned by the sea presents songs sung in French, English and Italian and the ever enchanting Francesca's voice which soar across the rich tableaux of guitars and keyboards, sometimes just a backdrop.

Believe it or not, musically this stuck-up monster promptly jerks itself down in between In Slaughter Natives and Sophia. Well, this may not be too strange as Peter Pettersson is the producer of this cacophony, and also involved in the songstructures. More uptempo than Sophia and less infernal than ISN, the screeching choirs and the Karjala-connected heartbeat drums pushes the listener in sharing authentic despair and frustration.
