CUT HANDS is the current solo project of WHITEHOUSE founder William Bennett, performing a new genre which he dubbed Afro Noise. "Essentially to consist of obscure African percussion elements in free-form work-outs with almost any other type of (genuine) sound experimenting. Already in evidence in some of the latter-day Whitehouse tracks, I believe there are incredible and exciting possibilities here which will also serve to draw a firm line between - what seems to me at least, and I've said it before - the utterly staid, conservative, conformist, and oh-so-boring ageing 'noise' genre. Let's recapture the flame and the excitement." This is the first Cut Hands show after the release of the new album 'Black Mamba'!
But who is DJ BENETTI? Some facts from his bio: "first gig at a Mafia-controlled pizza restaurant in Vigevano (Northern Italy) in 1980 /// owns an enormous collection of rare Italo CDs and vinyl, filling three huge rooms and a basement in his house /// a cognoscento in making a special aphrodisiac spaghetti a la slinguata /// big in China, especially in cities like Shanghai and Hang Zhou (where he lived for 18 months as paid guest of the Communist town council) /// during a big Eurobeat party in Byelorussia in October 2007 he was playing to 2,000 people, some visiting army recruits from the local garrison started firing guns into the ceiling and literally brought part of the roof down /// DJed at a Katoey Bar, Soi Cowboy, in Bangkok for two months before falling out with the local police force over unpaid bribes for live sex shows /// did a set of rapidissimo para para in Roppongi (Tokyo) which got out of control when a large group of teenage girls got assatanate and started stripping to Delta Force's Bang Bang and Lolita's Cherry Girl /// spends more than 50% of his income on his beloved D&G clothes and accessories."


In his installations, performances and publications, Florian HECKER explores specific compositional developments of post-war modernity, electroacoustic music and extra-musical investigations. Recently he presented his works at dOCUMENTA (13), Kassel; Nouveau Festival, Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris (both 2012); MIT Saarinen Chapel, Cambridge; Push and Pull, Tate Modern, London (both 2011) and MMK Museum für Moderne Kunst, Frankfurt (2010). In addition Hecker has an extensive discography with solo and collaborative projects released on labels such as Editions Mego, Pan, Presto?!, Rephlex, Tochnit Aleph and Warner Classics. MARCUS SCHMICKLER has written numerous pieces for electronic music, chamber ensemble, choir and orchestra, which have been premiered by renowned ensembles and musicicans. Next to his musical work, he has also worked on installations and radioplays as well as collaborating vastly in the field of theatre and film. Lately, he has been interested in epistemic aspects of music.
