B**d Rice
B**d Rice is one of the most provocative and debatable underground figures of the post-punk era. A pioneering noise musician and countercultural maven, from the late 1970s to the present he has worked in an array of capacities, playing the roles of: musician, performer, artist, photographer, essayist, interviewer, editor, occult researcher, filmmaker, actor, orator, deejay, gallery curator and tiki bar designer, among others.

First coming to prominence as an avant-garde audio experimentalist (recording under the moniker NON), Rice was a seminal founder of the first wave of industrial music in the late 1970s. In the 1980s, through collaborations with Re/Search Publications, Rice further endeared himself to the underground with recountings of his uproarious pranks and the promotion of "incredibly strange" cult films. Rice's influence on subculture was further exerted through his forerunning exhibition of found photographs and readymade thrift store art, as well as his adamant endorsements of outsider music, tiki culture and bygone pop culture in general.

By the 1990s, however, Rice's underground acclaim had been turned on its ear as a result of his public associations with nefarious figures both infamous and obscure. These included friendships and ideological collusion with the likes of cult leader Charles Manson and Church Of Satan founder Anton LaVey, among others. Rice sparked further controversy through public flirtations with "Nazi" aesthetics and fascist ideology, a flaunted disregard for political correctness, and an espousal of antisocial doctrines such as Satanism, Social Darwinism and elitist misanthropy. The culmination of these affiliations and endorsements established Rice as one of the 1990s' foremost countercultural antagonists and provocateurs, alienating many of his erstwhile fans. The 2000s saw Rice turning away from the culturally proscribed (and its attendant controversy), and instead to esoteric occult research, the co-founding of an art movement and the design of his own tiki bar. Rice continues to explore these and other realms of artistic and musical expression as the decade nears its end.

Alternately amusing, insightful, confrontational and offensive, B**d Rice has proven one of the most consistently influential and contentious characters of the last 30 years of American counterculture. He's covered an incredibly prolific amount of artistic, conceptual and ideological ground, and his work continues to profoundly affect the countercultural underground at large, inspiring and enraging in equal measure.

Dark / Black Ambient noisescapes inspired by Celtic history, the harsh, rugged west coast of Ireland, misty boglands, dark nights, rural isolation, forests, The Burrens flora and fauna. Over 40 minutes of cavernous soundscapes (similar to Inade, Satori and Lustmord), moving into Vinterriket territory, with interesting tales of banshees and the pagan mythology of Ireland. The musical equivalent of standing atop the majestic Cliffs Of Moher with a gale force wind in your face.

Jude(Pl)
http://jude.org.pl/

The band was created in 1993 as an assembly of five individuals
operating in a context of music group, expanding its communication on other media such as video, prints, performance etc.
Locatnig JUDE within fixed boundaries of music styles is pointless,
the band plays violent music of instincts and impulses, swarming
with emotions. conventionally one can describe it by means of labels
industrial hardcore punk noise.
The origin (Lodz) is of great significance for the form and message
transmitted by JUDE. the expression and shape of JUDE is undergoing incessent evolution

B**d Rice / NON announces a series of dates following the release of a new album, Back To Mono, on 29 October 2012.

The dates, starting in Moscow on 3 November, are the first since B**d Rice’s performance at the now legendary Short Circuit presents Mute festival at the Roundhouse in 2011.

3 Nov – Moscow, Plan B - http://bit.ly/TAChoR
6 Nov – Helsinki, Kuudes Linja - http://bit.ly/RbZ44X
9 Nov – Wroclaw Industrial Festival, Poland - http://bit.ly/40Z6vp
24 November - Dresden, Germany – Raum Dresden - http://bit.ly/T83VnS

Back To Mono is a return to B**d Rice’s noise roots, and the first new album since 2002’s Children Of The Black Sun.

Back To Mono’s tracklisting encompasses brand new recordings - made with Wes Eisold (Cold Cave), NY producer Bryin Dall (Thee Majesty / Hirsute Pursuit) and long time collaborator Z’ev, alongside unreleased studio and live recordings from the late 70s, plus a cover of The Normal’s ‘Warm Leatherette’, Mute’s first release which, explains Rice, is “the best electronic pop song – bar none. I bought that single fifteen minutes before meeting Daniel. And that meeting changed my life.”

It’s difficult to imagine the pioneering impact that tracks such as 1978’s ‘Watusi’ (here re-recorded by Wes Eisold) and ‘Scream’ (recorded live in 1979 at LA’s Whiskey A Go-Go) must have had at the time, now that noise is a recognised genre.

Says Rice, “I was doing sample-based music about a decade before the advent of samplers, when everyone else was using bass, guitars, keyboards and drums. It has been said that I invented the first sampler. Perhaps I did. At the time I called it the N.M.U. (or noise manipulation unit). It allowed me to essentially sample numerous tracks of noise and mould them into rudimentary rhythms. This was my principle instrument for a good many years and can be heard on Back to Mono, in the late 70’s archival recordings.”

Turn Me On, Dead Man and Turn Me On, Dead Man (Reprise) are both collaborations with musician, artist, poet, dancer and “long time partner-in-crime” Z’ev, who has previously collaborated with the likes of Merzbow, and Psychic TV amongst others

Cold Cave’s Wes Eisold produced and recorded the title track at Cold Cave’s Philadelphia studio.

B**d Rice / NON’s first release was what is known as the Black Album (1975). “When I started to compose and perform noise music in the ‘70s there simply were no other noise groups.” As noise became more commonplace, Rice moved into more subtle and complex recordings.

Explains Rice, “Back to Mono was my attempt to demonstrate that the genre I created still had room to grow; that it could still be re-imagined.”

Schee wars, wenn auch zu kurz.
Aber mit Albin wars wohl nix.
Die Barfrauen haben bei Total War mit Boyd in schwarzer Uniform etwas... entrückt geschaut. :)
The bad news: Love changed the World into a sewer.
The good new: People started to love the smell of shit.
