Led by Frenchman Eric Roger (also of Sol Invictus and Seven Pines fame) GAË BOLG is the main act for this evening. Phenomenonally cult, Gaë Bolg could well be the very definition of BOMBASTIC - their music epic, their shows elaborate and theatrical, with a stage presence that simply just demands the attention of the audience.
Their music intrinsically plays like a medieval folk orchestra of the damned - the immensely epic and militant drums and pompous horns and trumpets are driven by a powerful, operatic, chanting monk choir that relays tales of myth and greatness - all twisted with dark and sinister undercurrents of densely layered ambient industrial, accentuated by avantgardistic and abrasive passages that suddenly give way to soothing and passionate neoclassical compositions.
Renowned for their fantastic showmanship and sense of irony, Gaë Bolg And The Church Of Fand is going to be a stage performance to remember. Anyone even remotely interested in epic, medieval folk, bombastic, militant industrial, theatrical avant-garde and monk choirs will NOT WANT TO MISS THIS!!
