Since the Beginning in 2002 Militia Dei follows ancient Paths, very much influenced by Shamanism and Esoteric, enrolling his ritualistic, repetitive and massive soundscapes.
"shamanism and esoteric are my main interests. That's why it's called MD, a reference to the templars, the most famous and unknown --at the same time-- initiatic order. I try to reconnect with the spirit of the templars. My sound wants to be a spiritual connection with those warrior-monks.
At the same time, it's my background as I was a child, fascinated by the drums of the military marching bands. I think it's pure European sound, the sound of the war drums. A sound dismissed by the modern world and it's fanatism for melting culture THEN kill original true culture.
At the same time, I'm fascinated by electronic music because it's perfectly quantized. Perfection is an obsession for me..... When electronic joins archaic rhythm and culture.". That´s how J-F Hicter, the Man behind Militia Dei decribes his Sound.
