Little Annie ex-Crass, frühe c93, Coil - LSD, COH - Live ein Erlebnis!!!

offizieller Promo-Blah:
Following last-year's critically acclaimed "Songs From the Coalmine Canary," (produced by Antony, of …& the Johnsons), Annie is releasing her second album on Durtro/Jnana/Southern: "When Good Things Happen to Bad Pianos,” produced by long-time co-conspirator Paul Wallfisch. The duo has spent the year bringing sold-out audiences to tears from Athens to Copenhagen--with stops at the Donau Festival and supporting Marc Almond in Barcelona--along the way. Annie & Antony’s song “Strange Love” was picked by Levi’s for world-wide TV and cinema advertising and is currently running in over a dozen countries. The clip won “best use of music in advertising” at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival. “Coalmine Canary” was #37 on The Wire’s year-end top 50 for 2006. Annie & Paul first performed together at Joe’s Pub in 2001 with an enraptured Dr. John, sitting front and center, asking the diva out for a date after the show. Little Annie-aka Annie Anxiety-aka Annie Bandez, survived her teenage angst and matured into a smoky contralto. She is an adventuress, chanteuse/lyricist, ordained minister, high school drop-out, juvenile delinquent, self taught painter, multi-media artist and post modern cabaret queen with a long, illustrious and eclectic recording career who has defied categorization, limitation, restrictions and sometimes the law. Her solo LPs and numerous collaborations--(with Wolfgang Press, Crass, the ON-U Sounds stable, Paul Oakenfeld, Kid Congo Powers, Current 93, Nurse with Wound, the late Bim Sherman, Coil, Fini Tribe & Collapsed Lung, Christophe Heeman, and many fine others)--span the spectrum from reggae & hip hop to torch and the avant garde. Paul Wallfisch has toured extensively in North America & Europe as well as appearances in Guinea, Indonesia and China. In Paris he studied classical piano by day while playing with Stiv Bators by night, as well as recording or performing with a parade of French people from Johnny Halliday & Jean-Louis Aubert to Anne Pigalle, & Jad Wio. In Los Angeles from 1992-’99, Paul recorded Frenchette with Syl Sylvain, joined Congo Norvell, and was a producer/partner at Jive Studio, working with Love & Rockets, Jon Brion, Gene Loves Jezebel, Pilar Stupa and many more. Paul spent nearly seven years playing keyboards and dancing the Hora as part of Tod A’s Firewater. Since returning to New York, he regularly performs with Angela McCluskey, (though rumor has it he’ll be fired soon), and is much in demand as piano man about town. His band Botanica has toured Europe 8 times, including playing sold-out theatres in five countries supporting 16 Horsepower, as well as major festivals and TV appearances. Botanica’s 5th album, “The Magnetic Waltz,” was released to rave reviews in May ‘07. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu ... D=46553897 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1dBshXd ... re=related
